  1. I love rainy days. I feel like rainy days are the sound track of the earth. Rainy days make for good cleaning days, they also set the mood for funerals. For the most part on rainy days I usually clean up my house because I won’t be outside. Also noticed on rainy days, in Chicago the crime is lower, so I like to think criminals took the day off to clean their homes too.

    1. I, too, love rainy days and the smell of it. The sounds and looks of rainy days create a relaxing environment. I have a Spotify playlist dedicated to all sorts of nature sounds; it really helps my baby go to sleep and stay asleep all night. Nevertheless, I haven’t noticed the association between weather and crime rates. So, I did an online search and found a 2005 article stating the crime rate in Los Angelos went down 23% when it rained four to seven days straight! (link here: http://articles.latimes.com/2005/jan/13/local/me-crime13). Thanks for point that interesting concept out!

Keep up with the good work. All I see is a small punctuation error specifically in your second sentence. It can be changed to “Rainy days make for good cleaning days; they also set the mood for funerals.” or “Rainy days make for good cleaning days — they also set the mood for funerals.” Continue reading on information about punctuation marks. Overall, great job!

  2. Most people hate rainy days because they can’t go out and do the thinks that they usually do. Personally I think rainy days are the best moments to take a nap. There is nothing as relaxing as the sound of the drops falling over the ceiling. It’s actually better than the white noise that my parents love to listen to get sleep. When I was a kid I was told about a myth that said that the smell of the earth wet by rain is the smell of god.

    1. I agree with you on rainy days and naps! The sounds make me sleepy and I wish it would rain almost every night, or at least during the weekdays. When I was a teenager and couldn’t go to sleep, I had a sound machine that I left playing underneath my bed. It isn’t as great as a real thunderstorm, but it helped me a lot in terms of falling asleep.
